Some clients would prefer to install the module themselves, and that's okay by us! Here are the directions you must follow to install the module.
- Unzip the module files to a location of your choice, such as your desktop.
- IMPORTANT: Backup ALL of your store files and your entire store's database!
- IMPORTANT: Turn off (close) your store before proceeding!
- Using an FTP program, set the transfer mode to "Auto".
- Using an FTP program, upload the contents of the net1_module folder (but not the net1_module folder itself!) to the root of your store. The folder structure of the module will upload all files to the correct locations.
- Log into your web site control panel and MySql manager (typically PhpMyAdmin) and add the following column to your database:
- TABLE: Orders
- NEW COLUMN: net1_result
- Type: Text
- Collation: latin1_swedish_ci
- Null: Null (yes)
- Go to your OScommerce Administrator control panel and login.
- Click Modules - Payment - Net1 Credit Card.
- Click Install.
- Click Edit.
- Enter a TEST Merchant Internet Gateway ID:

- Enter a TEST Merchant Internet Gateway KEY:
Contact Sage for your testing information
- Click Update.
- Create a test product for $1.00.
- Go to your store front, purchase the test product, and test your cart. Use this test information:
- Card number "4111-1111-1111-1111"
- Any future expiration date
- Any CVV code
- Please make sure your order total is exactly $1.00, including shipping and taxes.
- Go back to your Admin, and review the orders.
- In the order you just placed, review the Sage/Net1 payment information details at the bottom of the screen.
- Ensure the payment was accepted.
When you're done testing, follow the steps here to enable your store to go live.
